FREE LOANER EQUIPMENT
Boys’ lacrosse players wear protective equipment consisting of a helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, and gloves. The hockey equivalent to this gear may be used, although most hockey gloves are a little stiff for lacrosse. Soccer or basketball shoes are best to wear on the turf. As with any contact sport, a mouth guard and cup are required. Girls’ lacrosse players need only a mouth guard and eye protection.
Lacrosse America has used equipment that players may use. Players would need to be early for each practice/game to get gear and would be required to return the borrowed equipment promptly after each practice/game.
It is recommended that each player have his own lacrosse stick. Sticks will be available for purchase at clinics and practice for $35 (include tax and a ball). However, Lacrosse America will have loaner sticks available.
